Venue Description
In the heart of Piacenza stands a striking former church — a five-aisled Renaissance venue designed by Bernardino Panizzari and completed in 1608.
Its neoclassical façade, added between 1786 and 1792, features Ionic columns and finely carved reliefs. Following the closure of the adjoining convent in 1798, the building took on new roles, serving first as a warehouse and later as military barracks. It became public property in the 19th century and, in 2018, began a new chapter as a venue dedicated to contemporary art and design.
It currently hosts exhibitions curated by gallerist Enrica De Micheli, with installations conceived by Space Caviar — creating an ongoing conversation between historic architecture and contemporary creative practice.
