Our Criteria
Location A Milano is proud to dedicate an entire section of its database to sustainable facilities!
The demand for sustainable events is continuously increasing, and attention to ESG criteria is now crucial to anticipate trends and affirm the uniqueness and value of our business. For this reason, Location A Milano has chosen to highlight venues that promote ESG sustainability criteria.
How?
Location A Milano has relied on GECO, a benefit company for sustainable business consulting certified by ISO 20121 standard, to structure a questionnaire aimed at investigating the level of sustainability of the venues.
The questionnaire, based on the three interdependent pillars of sustainability (environmental-social-governance), was then sent out and completed by the venues.
In this way, following the data collection, it was possible to formulate a classification of venues that, more than others, respect and actively promote ESG aspects and objectives.
These venues are listed on the sustainable venues page and represent excellence in the Milanese landscape.
How do venues become sustainable?
ENVIRONMENTAL
Strategic proximity to public transportation, energy sourced entirely or partially from certified renewable sources, energy efficiency improvements, and proper waste management and disposal are the main criteria required to be included in the sustainable managed venues of Location A Milano.
Attention to the environmental impact that a venue can have must be a priority when choosing a location for events. It is necessary to consider and implement sustainable practices and ecological solutions wherever possible to minimize the ecological footprint. For this reason, a sustainably managed venue is capable of recognizing the commitment to the environment as an economic and social value in the long term, as well as for the planet.
SOCIAL
A good event is one that is accessible to everyone and respectful of the social impacts it generates.
For this reason, Location A Milano has selected venues capable of welcoming all types of guests without architectural barriers and simultaneously paying attention to the community within or outside the event.
Accessibility, along with other social commitments (gender equality and fairness in contracts), makes a venue inclusive and welcoming, promoting active participation from all potential guests, thus making the commitment to social sustainability concrete.
GOVERNANCE
A venue managed with a green perspective involves valuable choices in the processes it implements daily. From choosing to collaborate with selected suppliers who are mindful of social and environmental impacts to obtaining certifications or recognitions such as LEED or ISO 20121, from developing internal sustainability awareness to transparency in external communication activities, these are the points addressed by Location A Milano in their discussions with the venues.
Proper management of decision-making processes, aimed at sustainable development of the venue in all its aspects, is fundamental to ensuring a positive impact on the environment, improving the quality of life of the local community, and promoting the responsible use of resources.
