The Client's Request

The first Green Building Forum in Italy: getting ready for a new challenge

Green Building Council Italia launched a competitive tender in late 2024 for the organisation of the first Green Building Forum Italia, conceived as the national reference platform for the decarbonisation of the construction sector and the ecological transition of the built environment. The event, developed in collaboration with Regione Lombardia and hosted at a prestigious Milanese venue, was created to overcome the fragmentation of the existing debate and establish a structured space for dialogue between institutions, businesses, and the academic world — one capable of moving the sector from theoretical discussion to operational decisions. The institutional profile of the event — with the presence of Government representatives, European delegates, and numerous strategic stakeholders — demanded organisational management of the highest order. In this context, Location a Milano's ISO 20121 certification was recognised as concrete assurance of method, reliability, and process quality.

Location a Milano's Proposal

A venue that makes a statement

The Forum's venue — a prestigious Milanese palazzo selected by the client as both a symbolic and operational setting for the built environment transition — became the starting point for a fully integrated service managed by Location a Milano. Deliverables included catering, technical production and installations, simultaneous translation, hostesses and stewards, and the drafting of the DUVRI risk coordination document through a specialist supplier. Particular care was given to managing institutional flows, transfers, and the reception of high-ranking State officials. Location a Milano provided continuous operational coordination across all suppliers involved, ensuring consistency and control throughout the entire day — from plenary sessions to thematic round tables on innovation, finance, and governance, through to the collateral institutional appointments.

Achieved Results

Green Building Forum Italia 2025 lays the groundwork for future editions

The Green Building Forum Italia 2025, held on 27 October in Milan, concluded with a high level of satisfaction on the client's part. The event brought together leading representatives from the Government, European institutions, and local authorities, all gathered to examine data, tools, and governance models for making the built environment transition measurable, verifiable, and financeable. Precise management of access and protocol ensured smooth proceedings throughout, giving full weight to the substantive content presented — from the Industry Report and Roadmap for Italy to focused sessions on Whole Life Carbon and Taxonomy Verification. The quality of the coordination delivered an event that was fully coherent with its role as a shared national platform, capable of turning consensus into concrete commitments and laying solid foundations for future editions of the Forum.
